Joseph G. LeCount Scholarship
For over 100 years, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has helped support and encourage both college aspiration and high achievement among young men. Providence area Alpha men continue to contribute to this great legacy through mentorship, scholarship, teaching, leadership and service in our community. To that end, we invite college bound men in the Providence, RI area to apply for the Joseph G. LeCount Scholarship to help offset the cost of higher education for college-bound men. The LeCount Scholarship provides recipients with a total of $2000. The scholarship is divided into four installments of $500 distributed prior to each semester. LeCount Scholarship winners will be mentored by members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. throughout all four college years and Alpha men will serve as integral resources and advocates throughout this important period.
